BLACK SAND
a spiral looms
of indeterminate fate
pass through the vortex
and for an eternity...wait
black sand - how much more can I
stand
black sand - reconstruction be damned
black sand - is what the makers have planned
and what the makers demand is black sand
countless grains
formed over billions of years
harbor the sentiments of resentment and fear
(it's near)
thoughts become commodity
when nothing exists outside the mind
disestablishing the logic
of how we think we are designed
against this intrusion I cannot compete
within the illusion I am not complete
indecipherable allusion replete with doubt
devoid of clues
to which we must forever harken
for once harnessed, the spirit
continues to darken
shattered heartless
ever deeper in darkness
scattered heartless
oh darkness oh darkness
black sand - a swirling embrace
black sand - belies the vastness of space
black sand - I am alone in this place
and alone I must face this black sand
landscape
shoreline
horizon
infinity
landscape
shoreline
horizon
infinity
within the cosmic sandclock
a timelessness calls
minutes become eons
and through a passageway ... fall
black sand - ever calling to me
black sand - in the celestial sea
black sand - forever will be
and I will never be free from black sand
countless stars
formed over billions of years
impart the revelation that creation endears
(it's here)
a lifeform
compressed
a lifeline adorned
a timeline bejeweled
a lifetime transformed
there is a universe within each grain
hold some in the palm of your hand
before casting it back to it's ever shifting role
among an endless expanse of black sand
landscape
shoreline
horizon
infinity
( touch me for a moment and I'm gone)
